Ever since I bought my 700 it shoots just fine but the bolt stop release lever on the trigger shakes around and wobbles alot. It works but is just plain annoying. does anyone know how to fix this?

Re: Remington 700 bolt stop release

If the wobble is an up/down then you may have an issue with the return spring being either broken or in need of a small adjustment. If it's a left/right wobble, I've got nothing. The bolt release on the trigger needs to be able to move to do its job. If it didn't have any slack, it wouldn't move at all.

Re: Remington 700 bolt stop release

Is your 700 is of current production w/ X Mark trigger group??
If so, confirm that there is a wire circlip on the lower bolt release/trigger pivot pin.
If your action is of 2006 vintage w/ the std OEM Rem trigger group the bolt release lever may be bent or in need of a slight adjustment as mentioned above.

Send it to Mark @ SAC for a side bolt release
