Re: Remington 700 feed problems
When the 260 first came out in stainless it had the DBM. Bought one thinking it would be the cat's a**, well it was for accuracy but that sumbitch ALWAYS had feeding issues. Usually(giving it some credit) it would feed the first round but never did it ever feed a full mag without at least 1 f*ckup per mag. Couldn't convert it to a standard BDL because them genius bastards eliminated feed rails on the DBM model. Wife used it for deer and I shot it only to sight in, load work etc. When that cheating whore left(no, I am not bitter anymore) so went the 260 on GB!!!! Liked the caliber but damn sure didn't like that rifle, for several reasons at the end!!!!!
Edit to add that... It had sat around and I never got around to shooting/loading for it for a yr or so. Then found the repeated issue. Remington told me it was "out of warranty" and I could send it to Jack First in Rapid City, SD(one of their repair/service centers) but it would not be under warranty. Recommended I buy "a new mag first"!!!! The mentioned repair center charged like $60 minimum and $60/hr to just look at it so I bought a new mag summer prior to above mentioned 'wife' leaving and she didn't get a license that fall and I didn't have any desire to fix it afterwards. I got the impression they really didn't care what I did with it nor what the problem was. Probably tired of the phone calls about their lousy mag setup!!!
