Remington LTR in 223

Hi guys i would like to get your reviews on this rifle i mentioned above. I will use the rifle to medium range shooting 300 yards due to our limitations in ranges distance what you think as a factory rifle and accuracy out of the box

I can't speak for all of them, but the one I have is capable of 1/2" groups. New stock, trigger job, and bolt knob is what I have done, but it shot just as well with the factory stock. I have been more than happy with it.

I have not shot the LTR in .223, but my brother had an LTR in .308 and it shot very well..

I dont have the LTR but I have SPS Varmint with the 1-12 26" barrel. It shoots 40 grain VMax like a champ, It is a .4moa gun all day and I have had groups under .25moa. All I did is change the stock to a 700p takeoff and tune the trigger. I have a cheap bushnell scope on it also.

I have an LTR in .223 and it is a great rifle. 1/2" MOA or better (who knows, I can't shoot better than 1/2, but maybe rifle can). I have it in the original stock with original x-mark trigger. I did lower the trigger as much as possible using the adjustment screws, but it is still all factory/stock. I have a badger base, rings, and Nightforce on it. I have won two local rifle competitions with it (100 yards max), which were usually won by high-end .22s (there is unsupported sitting and standing part). The light weight of the LTR gave me huge advantage over similar and larger calibers, and the .223 round helped me beat out the custom .22s.

I have used that rifle against deer (in TX) and tons of varmints and pest birds. It is very easy to shoot, carry, and is accurate.

The one negative I can think of is that the barrel is 1:9 twist, so you probably can't shoot 75, 77, or 79gr bullets out of it. Mine loves 69gr or under.
