remington magazine conversion

I just bought a remington xcr long range .308. awesome looking gun and have heard great things about it. my only problem is that it doesnt have a detatchable magazine but instead comes w/ the "trap door". i was wondering if anyone knows of a conversion kit for this model. i have searched the internet and havent found anything that doesn't require smithing. is there a drop-in kit available, and if not, what would be the next best option? thanks

for a drop in mag system the only one i know of is the HS precision units sometimes they need a small amount of materiel removed between the trigger cutout and the mag box cutout it is very minor and can be donw with a dremel or even a sharp chisel.

You can also check Badger Ordnance. It uses the AI magazines, five or ten rounds in the 308 size cases. Check the M5 Triggerguard at the bottom of the page at the following link.

Thanks for the info, lookin into the m5 trigger guard. got to shoot it this weekend, the thing is a tack-driver straight out of the box
