I picked up a early 1990's Remington 700 BDL in 243 from a family member a few weeks back. He had never fired it more than 10 times, and used it for deer hunting. I even got the old Winchester ammo box with 10 rounds left that he purchased with the rifle!
I took the rifle out this morning, and fired 30 rounds through it to break in the barrel. What I found troubled me!

After 11 rounds the rifle began misfiring, and when I would pull the bolt to eject the round it would go off!!!!!
I tried everything! I took the bolt apart and cleaned it, and even cleaned the rifle on site. The last time it happened I had a round in the chamber, and it wouldn't fire so I flipped the safety and it WENT OFF!
Anyone else have these problems throughout the years?
