i recently got a remington model 7 synthetic in .260 and it came with the iss lock on the firing pin shroud i am wanting to eliminate the poorly fitting firing pin spring and the iss shroud, does anyone know if a short action 700 firing pin assembly would work if you had the side milled where the model 7's shroud is to clear the safety lever ? any replies are appreciated
