Remington MSR?

Anyone got their hands on one of these to test? Either the rifle or just the Chasis? Hell, does anyone know if Remington has even released these to the general public. Did a search but didn't come up with much on here. Just wondering how they are performing. Much of their advertisements say you can plug and play any caliber barreled action. Would be nice to have a couple custom barreled actions and be able to change them out at any time. Anyway, any testers out there with any experience?

Thanks, but still no resolve. Doesn't look like anyone in these threads really know of anyone that owns, tested, or knows the price of rifle, or chasis? Appreciate the advice on the google search instead of "organic" though.

Should call it the Ghost rifle, or the Keyser Soze rifle, since once it was out the door of the Shot Show, it seems no one has heard of it again.

Be nice if Remington at least released something about the rifle or the chassis. Doesn't even need to be a date, but if it held up pending MIL trials or something.

Hope this isn't another ACR situation where it comes out three years later and even heavier.

I haven't seen much on AIs new chassis either? I would assume that when one breaks out the other will be forced to market also?

When they both come out, I'm interested in seeing how many used AICS and McMillian stocks hit the EE.

Yeah I was curious about The AX also. Not much going on out there with either on. I do have the AICS 2.0 but I'll never get rid of it. It's attached to a Terry Cross build and I was lucky enough to get my hands on it. Couldn't be happier!

Definitely second the wait on the AX... they are really nice.

I know a couple of people who have lightly touched the MSR and I am sure it has its high points, but it definitely sounds like it will be priced around $10k so I would suspect any chassis from them being in the $4000 range or more.

The changes to the AI platform, the increased availability it is really going to be a much better buy. As well come this Fall all the Ashbury / Saber offerings will start becoming available, definitely not cheap, but so similar to the MSR it will make it a no brainer to consider them over the MSR.

I got my hands on 2 different MSRs at the ISSTE. They had a demo day after the comp, I put about 20 rnds down each one. A very nice setup and action was butter smooth.

But havent heard a word about it since then. When and if we ever do hear about it, Im sure it will have an extra heavy price tag weighing it down.
