Range Report Remington Premiere Match 175 SMK

Hi all, hope I'm not starting a thread that already exist...could not find it so, here it is...

I know most serious shooter around here are realoading, but I'm not there yet. A friend of mine lent me his M700 XCR Tactical LR in .308 win. So I wnt to the store and found that they had those ammo in stock for a good price:30$.. (Please remember that ammo are expensive here in Canada, I use to pay 40$ for my hornady SST 140 gr in .270 win)

I'de like to know if any of you have any experience with these? I'm shooting at steel at 600 and 700 yrds...These should do the job right?

They have a claimed velocity of 2609 fps... but my friends XCR has a 26 inches, so I guess I can expect a couple more fps can I? (no chrony here...)

You shouldn't have a problem at that range and then some, with that. Good shooting!!

That will be good ammo for you. 175 gr SMK is a quality projectile.

All right! I grabed 2 boxes of it and two of Hornady match 168s

I'll let you know how they worked for me...

Remington Premier Match is what I shoot in long range tactical competitions. I've shot both 308 168s and 300 Win Mag 190s. I've shot 10 shot groups under an inch with the 308. My teammate hand loads and was very impressed with the Remmy ammo out of his gun too. Made several 1k+ first round hits with the 300. Won't compete in bench rest comps, but very adequate for practical precision shooting.
