Re: Remington Warranty Replacement
Well that's kinda what I was thinking, it's just raising a safety concern with me after looking at bolt face. Compared it to one of my other 700 bolts and it just doesn't look right around the extractor slot. I have seen extractors bend, notorious on Remmy's, but to have one brake into right below lip is a first. I am not shooting hand loads either, all factory ammo. Already had it sent in once before for repair, matter of fact, these where the first rds I have fired thru it since got it back and it failed on the third rd. The Remington Authorized repair shop, will not call name, said they re-fitted extractor, but I see no signs of any machining. Heck for that matter the bolt I sent with rifle had perfect finish and the one returned looks like it went thru the war!! Sad part about the whole thing is Rifle is less than 2 months old, Remington will have had it in the shops now more than I have had it upon returning it 2moro!!!!
