Does anyone here have any experience with Remington's M-24 (.300 WM) and in your opinion does it warrent the $3,700 price tag.

The 5r is comparable in features and costs less. I don't have experience with the m-24, but for that kind of money I would rather have a GAP than a r700.

Okay. For starters you can buy a M24 in .300wm from the military division of Remington.
Keep in mind that is IF you really want one with authentic factory markings. I say that because if you check out the "M24 build thread" on this site, then you will see for a fact that one from GAP and one from Remington are damn near identical twins, but I'd go with a GAP M24 over a Remmy.
And check out the M24 build thread. It's required reading for all M24 gun nuts out there.

Yes sir. Probably my favorite thread on this site. Lots of good info in there. Was able to piece by piece get almost all the correct parts for a M24 build (only lack trigger) based off that thread and a little bit of research. Eventually i'll get Roscoe to throw her together for me cause getting tired of seeing that Rock 5r barrel blank just laying on the bench.
To the TS, is a real deal remmy m24 worth the coin is up to you. A GAP, or similar smith build will probably shoot just as good if not better than an actual m24. But either way, it's a win-win cause you get a sexy ass rifle that will shoot.
