Reminton 700 Detachable Box Magazine

I just bought a remington 700 Adl from gander Mountain and i'd like to put a drop in dbm in it. The problem i have as finding one that is strong and durable. Looking to spend between $250 and $400

The problem I see with a drop in type dbm is the fact that all the short action ones that I'm aware of use proprietary mags, and usually they are hard to get or very spendy.

Long or short action? Hooper makes a bdl drop in and RWS gunsmithing has some PT&G bdl drop in long action ones that take ai mags

Why are you looking at the drop in type? Is it because of having to inlet?

i'm also in the market for a dbm for my 700P sa. i looked at the rws site, but it seems the ptg "fits a badger ord inlet", which to me says inletting on my hs precision stock. anyone know how much inletting is needed? how hard is it for a guy that's handy with hand tools?

I just put the seekins AICS DBM in a 700 .260 build, think it will be great.

I have a bell and carlson stock that fits my short action remington 700 that already has a slot for to mox magazine I'm just having trouble finding a quality drop in dbm. Links would be apreciated. Thank alot for the opinions
