Re: Remove suppressor for barrel cleaning?
What BOLTRIPPER said and
While I was in the sandbox several of the folks who used suppressors cleaned them with diesel fuel. Readily available, and not as combustible as some of the other available options.
Poured a small amount in the suppressor. blocked both ends and shook it like a Rott would a large piece of meat. Poured the rather filthy fuel out and used an air hose if available. If not then they just set the suppressor in the sun to dry. Once that was done they function fired it and was GTG. Seemed to work just fine. I have no idea what the long term affects of this will be.
Do NOT put patches in the suppressor. If it gets stuck on a baffel, you can have problems if it does not come apart.
