removing plate from inside AI mags ??

how can you get the plate out of the front of the AI mags without beating it all to crap,,,my 243 bbl is getting to where I could use the extra .100 in OAL,,the opening in the Stiller Tac 30 is plenty long ,,

who makes 5 round mags that will take the absolute longest OAL and fit the AICS magwell??

I hate to buy them if I can get the plate out of my AI mags without ruining them,,

Accurate mags and Alpha mags can be bought without the plate in front if I remember correctly. The plate can be removed in the mags you have by simply drilling out the two plug welds/spot welds that hold the plate in place. You will then have to weld up the holes and grind flush.

I drilled out the spot welds on mine then taped off the insides and used JB Weld to fill the holes .

Have the spot weld burned out of the plate from the inside.
