Re: Results Odessa FV250yd F-Class May 20th
Had a wonderful time coaching my Granddaughter, Miss 'E' in her second FV match. I'm basically showing her stuff as she needs it and leaving her to her own devices under close observation. It's a minimalist-approach training experiment and she's showing excellent self reliance and a successful approach to managing new experiences.
We're both stoked by her excellent beginner performance.
She was also trying out an AR for the first time by putting the new Stag Super Varminter through its paces. She was using off the shelf Prvi-Partizan 69gr Match which works pretty well in the Varminter, despite it being under-$12 per box of 20.
Some quick after-the-COF function testing of a new handload showed considerably tighter grouping; so the potential continues to improve.
We both had problems seeing 22 cal hits at 250yd with the $79 Tasco Varmint/Target 6-24; so a Weaver T-24 is under negotiation for employment in the next match.
I think it's a fair assumption that Miss 'E' will be back for more soon. With luck, I may acquire a new shooting partner from all of this.
Miss 'E' won't say it, but Girls Rule!
