I bought a Rifle Basix LV-1K and ive got a couple questions. I installed it no problem and Rifle Basix emailed me instructions on how to adjust it. This model is suppose to come shipped at 11-12oz but mine is way off from that range, much heavier. So I adjusted to weight at light as I could get it which to me feels around 2lbs. Then I adj the creep which according to RB you turn the bottom screw clockwise very slowly until the gun fires then add a 1/4 turn counter clockwise. Finally adjust the overtravel by going clockwise. So I did all this and after playing with it for 2 hours I ended up with a safe 2lb trigger which is fine just barley a touch of creep in it. But I can say im a little disappointed. I dont see this trigger adjusting down to 8oz. Is there any tricks or things that I can try to get it just a touch lighter??

I bought one recently and I can not get it to safely adjust below 1.5 to 2 pounds. Anything less than that and the trigger fires when I close the bolt. I may consider stoning the sear surfaces up because I can see that the two contact areas are rounded instead of sharp. There is no way that the sear can hold. It's like trying to get two edges with a radius on them to lock up against each other.

do call rb, I had a similar problem and they more than fixed it for me. Sent me parts free of charge and stood behind their product. This was even after mine was "stoned" in an attempt to improve it. I figured I would be SOL after that was done but they took care of it no questions asked. Good people there.

Just call Clay.

He will get you rolling quickly.

Well I got fed up with it. Its going back to Midway. Im going to order a Timney. Today I took it out and after closing the bolt the gun went off. And it did this 2 other times. Im not impressed with RB triggers or their quality control.

I ordered a RB through Midway. Im pretty good at adjusting the 3-screw Rem triggers, but the RB's seem MUCH touchier when it comes to adjustments. (I think 1/4 turn works out to 1/40th a turn in RB triggers!)

I did eventually get it down where I wanted it, but just didnt feel 100% safe on it, so I called RB. They said send it back and we'll send another out. They sent me a NEW unit, factory set (at my desired weight) and covered all shipping.

Pretty good company if you ask me, and good triggers too.

Guess I've been lucky. I've got three RB triggers directly from RB, Savage Mark2, Rem 700 and Savage 10. All have been awesome, easy to adjust and held their adjustment. I've yet to try RB service but I bet they'll be helpful.

Good move, you'll like the Timney better. The Shilen triggers are great too.

Well I sent it back. I ordered the new nickel plated 517 straight trigger model set at 1.5lbs. Should be here in a week or so
