My next purchase will a 6.5 Creedmoor. My LGS guy is trying to talk me into an AI-AT. It's highly unlikely that I would be a barrel switcher, so getting an AT for that reason may not be valid for me. I see several custom 6.5 Creed builds up for sale on this board - these have the advantage of being available now. Does anyone have an opinion on which one is the better buy? I would shoot the gun under occasional hostile weather conditions - +1 to AI, but I also want max accuracy. Did I just answer my own question?....

I saw a while back that AI was making rifles in the 6.5CM, but I didnt know the AT's were available right now. The AE's and AX's are available in 6.5CM right now for sure. So if you dont need the quick swap barrel feature, I'd probably go that route. Have you shot a AI rifle before? Or at least shouldered one?
Like fdkay said, I wouldn't worry at all about the AI accuracy compared to a custom.

A big +1 on AI accuracy. Out of the box my 308 AIAW folder was shooting 5 shoot 100 yard groups under 0.5 moa before I worked up a load for it. Now it routinely shoots groups closer to 0.3 moa sometimes less.
