I am looking to get an offset RMR for my scar 20. For those with an offset red dot, what mount and dot size are you using for the back up red dot? Is 1 moa too small?

seems pretty tiny for something you'll probably use for things that are closer than practical through your primary optic.
i guess if you have good eyes, it is up to you. the only thing i can say for certain is that i am no expert.

That's very personal. I have slight astigmatism, so aside from being faster to pick up, large dots also look rounder for me.

I asked myself that very same question not long ago, so I procured two Hawke red dot sights identical except one has 3 MOA dot and another has 5MOA dot. Both are offset from the primary optic and both work fine, but I prefer the larger one.

Piggyback it so you can run it on support side as well. You can train offset all day long, but those that run offsets often and also happen to varmint hunt say that in a quick close range surprise they still forget to cant the rifle. I am not saying it can't be trained out, but why fight what you have been doing for years? Unless of course it physically cannot be run piggy back due to your set up.
