Rifle Weight

Not too heavy that is sucks carrying it from stage to stage or getting fatigue at an all standing stage for 2 minutes, but heavy enough it is solid when shooting off a barricade. When I shoot the tank trap NRL22 COF my rifle will not come of the target when I squeeze the trigger. My Vudoo in an MPA with one internal front weight weights 14lb 9oz and I do not want to change a thing.

Mine is sitting at 17.3lbs with mag/bolt, no bipod. It balances at 2" in front of the magwell. It varies based on chassis' balance, weight of barrel, and weight of scope. For example a long 22" MTU barrel will allow the rifle to balance with less weight given that the weight stretches out beyond the chassis. Running an 18" Kukri, means I have to put a lot of chassis weights to get the balance to move forward, but it took a lot of weight to get it right.

I'm running a ZCO/Spuhr now which added 12oz to right behind the action. When I was running an Razor AMG with light rings, I had a good balance around 16.3lbs or so.

I think it depends on what you are doing. I like a heavier than most hunting rig and lighter than normal NRL rig. My hunting guns with scope & bipod run between 10 and 12# loaded. My NRL .22 is probably 13-14

I should have added my ~21lb Vudoo is an 18" MTU with a Cronus BTR in ARC rings. It is in a MDT ACC chassis with the full internal weight kit and custom 6"x0.5"x1.25" external weights and balances right in front of the magwell. I wasn't just trying to make it weigh as much as possible and I never intended to shoot it off offhand.

When my kid can start to shoot with me, I will probably buy a BA in 22" MTU and put this one in a chassis that isn't so ass heavy for her.

This is the balance I like to have -

Big help is to call MDT and have them send you the aluminum buttpiece, it shaves .5lbs off the rear of the rifle. I also opted to not run with any steel rider, or if I do, I run a 3D printed one.

What barrel are you running?

30lbs right now on a mdt acc has been working like a charm on bench or prone its wonderful to shoot feels more like either a really lite 223 or a 22 mag .

Just got an ACC chassis for my CZ and have found even with the straight taper 20" Lilja I am in need of quite a bit more weight in the front to get it to balance. It is already around 15+ lbs with my Razor mounted. I love the ACC chassis, but it is rear heavy for sure.

I'm running a CZ action with Shilen barrel in a PDC Custom chassis. Obviously not the same chassis but looking at the pic of a ACC and all the hardware on the ass end you will have the same problem as me. In my case 4 lbs. of forearm weights to counter all the hardware in the butt stock.
