Rimfire Rifle Photos Thread

I think I have a problem. After 23 years in the Corps, I have to paint my rifles camouflage.

Vudoo 360 with 22" MTU barrel and 60 MOA rail
TriggerTech Single-Stage trigger set to 14 ounces for now. I may go lighter.
Extra large bolt handle knob
Sig rimfire suppressor
KRG W-3 chassis with NV bridge
Atlas PRS bipod
Vortex Razr 4.5-27X scope

The groups shown below were benched and prone at 50 yards. I'm a little disappointed in the groups size although it's not unexpected. The ammunition used was the Norma (RWS) match target brand. I get great results with that round out of my Anschutz.

For today that's all I wanted to experiment with. The long range plans are to make reservations with the Lapua testing facility and hopefully get some really good ammunition from them.

When I determined that those were the best groups that I was going to get it was time to have some fun.

In keeping with the aim-small-shoot-small philosophy I decided to shoot some match sticks and split playing cards at 50 yards. I won't lie, there were a lot of times that I didn't strike the target on the first shot.

CZ 457 VPT and VPT MTR. Both are set up for ARA Factory class for now. Both have BScar 3oz. single stage triggers and Sinclair F class bipods. View attachment 7787123
What kind odd Chassis are they in. I just started shooting RF F-class, they both look like they would compete. Awesome looking guns. Everyone keeps telling me to switch to a voodoo but I love my 457 and Im sure with a couple of mods I could compete with it.

A couple 10/22's and my sporter collection.
Front is an Anschutz 1416
Middle a Win Model 52B reproduction
Back is a Weatherby XXII
All sporters have NF NXS 2-10x42, there is some Milogic to this, lol

NOS Remington 541X. This 22lr has been sitting in the back of my safe for 25+ years. I forgot all about it. I took it out of the box for the first time for these pictures.

You might want to google and find the guy who makes the steel aftermarket 5rnd mags. Buy 2 or 3. They aren't cheap but I would stow that perfect plastic mag away and treat it like it's made of diamonds.

I have the 541X as well. Previous owner did a nice job on the trigger. I recall they are adjustable. But I couldn't get it to shoot early on. This year I plan to get it shooting after a decade of sitting. Also have a 540X and 540XR to getting working as well.

My kids (10 and 12) shot their first PRS match yesterday, so that was pretty awesome. I was pretty busy keeping them going and shooting as well, so I didn't even think to get any photos until the last stage. The organizer is pretty big on getting new shooters into the sport, so he's got bigger targets for some of the stages for anyone that's shot two matches or less to encourage them to come back. My son managed to clean one stage, shooting prone from a floating platform, and my daughter only missed 1 from there. They were asking why they had to shoot the bigger targets after that one, then the wind came up on some tougher stages, and they got their answer. After the match they said it was really hard, but when I asked if it would be as much fun if it was super easy, they both said no. They want to do it again, so we're all signed up for the next match at the beginning of May now. And of course some pictures.

Is the barrel touching on the top front mount or is it free floated?
Super sweet looking rig. How much does it weigh? Sounds like you've added a lot, plus the huge barrel.

It is fully floated. It weighs a little over 24 pounds. Thanks for the praise!

Range time, 25/50/100m shooting, 5rnd groups. Well, its 1980’s optic, so sun is mutch welcome. My USMC Unertl, is a couple step up, but .22 is fun to shoot here as Vintage config. I’m vintage too, came to think about it…

My tikka t1x krg bravo on my viperflex sticks.
Heres a 3 shot group I shot a couple of days ago from the sticks at 120 yards with cci standard velocity.
Maybe I got lucky but it put a smile on my face.

Swapped the Vudoo out of the MPA matrix into Manners TCS saltwater camo.
I have a TCS and want to love it, but it's a pita to balance so mine is still in Matrix pro.

The salt water patten is awesome.. 22" MTU? And weights in the arca?

See I was having issues getting it balanced in matrix. My matrix has external gray ops weights in front and still back heavy with my 20” MTU. Now it’s good in TCS fully weighted on arca rail. No back weight. Weighs 17.3 in TCS like you see it.

Picked up my Vudoo yesterday. This is my first precision 22LR. Rimfire is going to be fun.
-Vudoo 360
-20” Ace MTU
-MPA Matrix chassis (saltwater camo)
-Trigger tech diamond
-EC tuner
-Leupold Mark 5 5-25
-MPA mount
How do you like the Mark 5? Thinking about it for my Vudoo build. Just hesitant due to the 50yd parallax.

I’ve had zero issues at 50yds. Then again all I shoot is 50+. Mark 5 glass and turrets are hard to beat for the money.
With my Vudoo, I don't "need" to shoot it at less than 25 yards, (min parallax for the Cronus), but in a match that has thrown in 15 yard off hand 1/2" swinging targets, being able to see the target(s) clear might have helped. Bad enough shooting a 17# rifle off hand as it is. I've only been in one match that had that kind of stage, I think I scored 3/10...🤣

Edit add: probably would have helped more if my dumb ass had cranked the zoom down from 20x...live and learn.
