Rifle Scopes Ring height question

I just bought a Sightron SIII 6-24x50, and plan on mounting it to a Lawton 7500 action with a 40 moa base.

I would like the scope as low as possible, and plan on using Burris Xtreme rings because I'm one broke kid. My question is does anyone have experience with a combo close to this, to give me advice on the ring height I need? I'm assuming low or medium rings.

Hey Tyler, you most likely will have to go with mediums. The 40 MOA rail will cant the Obj. bell pretty close to the barrel. I assume with this setup it is a fairly heavy contour barrel too?

If you can find the time to get down to the Lake, I have both on hand and you can try them out with your setup.

Lawton's bases are a little on the tall side though, so that may help.

Thanks for the invite, I think I can take my rifle into Graf's which is nearby and try both which should be a fairly quick process.

However, I am interested in any long range shooting spots, how far of a place do you know of shoot around the Lake?

So far, about 300 yards. I can occationally shoot out to about 500 or 600 (but the cattle have to be out of the way).

I am actually having a pumkin shoot on Nov. 7 if you can make it down.
