RIP Nappy Headed Ho

I never quite got Imus or that New York Shock jock guy Howard Stern. The Greaseman in Florida had his moments (how much for a one way ticket into the Potomac? Among others).

But, yes, he triggered the snaowflakes before we called them snowflakes. And for that I am grateful! RIP Imus!

cheers, Sirhr

PS. Imus ho tape is on YouTube... I don’t feel. Need to post it here...

Nothing is shocking. Behavior is simply asinine. None have measured up to the eloquent words of the late Col. Cooper.
Anyone can make statements using epithets. It takes a certain skill of language if one is to state that melanin enhanced members of society are simply not able to rise above old tribal ways. If one makes a statement as to the obscene behavior of those engaging in buggery and other behaviors that reek of sodomy, one gets banned everywhere.

I’ll miss the in your face liberal scathing comments and I used to watch IMUS every morning before work Don was always straight up and In somebody’s face from calling Neil Cavuto “fatso” or Andrea Mitchell “toot’s” or Don and Bernie tearing down some liberal stooge and making it hilarious. The sad thing Imus was known best for was the “Nappy headed ho’s” comment but not for all the years he had the “Imus ranch” for kids with cancer...RIP Don

In Memoriam:

Plastic Jesus.

Some will get it, some won't; but we all can agree, it captures the Imus Attitude quite well.

I listened to him every morning driving a half hour to work...

Greg

PS, other verses:

'He don't slip and he don't slide, 'cause his ass is magnetized' etc.

"I can go ninety-five mile an hour, 'cause I got the Almighty Power, ridin' on the dashboard of my car..."

From what I know, Imus was very private about his charity work. He didn't use it for publicity like other celebrities do.

You can say and feel as you wish about Don but,
He did Great things for children of all faiths, colors and religions that were hurtin with cancer, among other things, on his Ranch.
It was not well known except to people that needed it.
He and his Wife did this for a lot of kids at NO cost to the Kid's family. Imus paid for it all.
RIP Don Imus, you have earned it.

Listened to a bunch in homage today. Had a 45 min ride to school in NJ when I was 8 and mom used to have him on for the morning show. This was around ‘83. Didn’t really know what he was on about but knew it was getting good when she’d turn down the radio. Loved him ever since.
