Just wondering how everyone weight sorts there brass. I have heard of some weight sorting before resizing & trimming. Others have told me to sort after resizing & trimming. Also, how much weight variance is acceptable per batch.

Re: Rntobey: weight sorting brass

I generally try to buy all I can afford at one time. That way I have larger "lots" possibly of compatable brass. I do all my sorting as the box is opened. If you trim it or change it in any way first, you have made a different variable.

If you think about it long enough, you'll question the rationale of weight sorting. Should they be weight sorted before they're trimmed at the factory?
