Rock river. Lar 8

I have found that using the RRA 7.62 mags is the best solution for me. The new LAR-8's and the new mags are highly compatible. The FAL mags can be hit or miss. Just sayin'.

Thanks I've heard the same. Unfortunately I live in NJ and 15 is the most a mag can hold so it's tough to find 10 rounders that aren't $70 each. When I bought this LAR 8 the salesman told me it was one if the down sides that they don't take P Mags. Thanks again

I guess I'm confused. Rock River sells 10 round pmags for $35. Still a little spendy, but you can get them. I'm not sure how many one needs.

"P Mag" is generally associated with magazines made by MagPul, which are not compatible with the Rock River LAR-8. If you said "Polymer Magazine", then you are correct. RRA's has polymer magazines in 3, 5 and 10 round capacity.

I've got a couple of the RRA 20 round polymer magazines, and they function fine, but one of them does not drop free from the mag well. I've had the best luck with almost new FAL magazine in my RRA LAR-8.

I understand that, thanks. I guess I was referring to it in a generic sense, like "Coke", or "Kleenex". I too had a little trouble with the early Rock River "Pmags", not dropping free, but as I mentioned in an earlier post, the newer Rock River "Pmags" seem to have solved that problem. With those I have had not one FTL, FTF, or FTR.
