there is no social binding agreement regarding PMs but I agree with SP; it is a matter of courtesy to keep such conversations in private. while pete may have verbally assaulted you, it is still pretty unprofessional to retaliate by showing something thing that was not addressed to the public.I also disagree with the logic justifying making the PM public.
