Hello everyone, Just ordered up a Remington 700P in 338LM should be here in a week or so. got what i consider a good price. just over a Grand. good deal? eh. in the eye of the buyer I guess. anywhoo I just wanted to check in and say HI and let everyone know I will be sticking around with Tons of Questions that I don't find with Mr. Search function.

Just so you know, your scope base will probably have to be made with 8x40 screws. I know Seekins makes them, and I'm sure any good smith can open up a Badger for you. Sounds like you got a deal on the rifle.

I have one also, you can buy a Badger Ordinance 1005-306-07#8 it will screw down perfectly and give you 20 MOA. Very nice solid base.

Second that for the Badger base. Put one on my 700 338LM and it's perfect.

This is going to be my next rifle as well...once I quit buying accessories for my new Rock (sling, scope, flush cups, drag bag, scope pad, ammo, dies, bipod, new mags, etc etc) it never ends...and yes dont tell my wife either...but this site has been excellent in helping me determining which gear is the best.. as well as learning how to shoot properly (again it never ends...luckily)
