RRA LAR-40

Is this thing out yet. It was supposed to hit the market last fall or winter.

Any word on their release? I only ask as I get .40 from work and can always use another "fun gun".

They are still vaporware at this point in time. Steve from RRA has been very upfront about delays relating to magazine issues (RRA is developing the mags for this setup from the ground up, so things have progressed SLOOOOWLY to put it mildly).

The last I heard, after multiple T&E versions and revisions of the mag system, RRA "thinks" they have what they need in terms of 100% function/reliability. Now for the good news...for those of us who already run 9mm ARs, Steve has indicated that the 9mm mag blocks will be a direct fit for their 40S&W mags. So if you already have a 9mm AR, simply drop the 9mm upper off and put a 40S&W upper on with the 40S&W mags and you are ready to roll.

I haven't seen any hard and fast dates (and you won't likely see any), but I would GUESS it will be Q1 2011 at the earliest and probably later unless you are already on the list somewhere or you happen in to one that is not spoken for at a stocking RRA dealer's shop.
