Is there a way to keep this screw from backing out and coming loose? I’m using a b2-40 lr d and ca-r 50. I’ve tried a torque wrench and red lock tight but the moment I shift just a little without lifting up the bipod it comes lose.

That is odd as the both of your components are RRS and are designed with anti-rotation keys. There are several options, welding the parts together, or using epoxy. Filling the b2-40 pockets with JB weld and then tapping or pinning additional connections, or even fabricating a better interlocking pic rail. One might also remove the pic rail clamp from the bipod and look at fabricating a direct mount to the B2-40. Anyhow I would contact RRS for a solution. The point of their design is to key the parts together to prevent the problem you are describing.

Okay that’s rasyad I’ve thought by about Welding’s the parts together but with these two there’s not much meat to weld on. As for remaking a clamp it’s actually sort of complicated for an lra bipod. Marked the possible places to weld

I’ll check for sure when we all get back into work on the 2nd but it looks as if you have the wrong screw installed. We ship the CA-R 50 with 3 different screws because it can go on multiple different items. If you do have the other two try and use the one that comes up almost flush to the female Picatinny recoil luv recess. See if that helps. I’ll contact you directly later in the week and see what is wrong when I can put the same part in front of me.
