I have inherited an 80's Ruger M77, 22-250 varmint. A really nice rifle. The only thing is these have the oddest receiver with an integrated scope base. Nothing drilled to add a picatinny base and the way its shaped drilling it wouldn't work the way I see it.

I found the weigatinny rail in the link.

Anyone ever used or seen these and have any feedback?

I recently bought the weig a tinny rail for my older 77. The 20MOA LA version. Fit and finish seem excellent. I haven't shot it yet. If you looking for a base, this is THE option. I couldn't find anything else.

I was hoping to maintain a picatinny base for as many of my rifles as I can so moving optics around would be easier.

Right now it has 1" tube Ruger style rings. They look ok, but would much prefer a 1 piece scope mount.

BLJ - this is the only base I could find also.

I put Leupold PRWS Lows on and the scope is still pretty high. Looked at extra lows but the price goes way up. I don't know what your using for scope, but you've got plenty of room on the objective end.
SWFA 20X42 is damn near .5" from objective to barrel.

Weigatinny rail works well, you will end up with scope pretty high above bore.
There are ways to fix that.
