Night Vision Running NV ahead of my scope

Hello everyone, I am pretty new to the NV game and have been torn if I want a dedicated NV or Thermal or run my current scope and put NV on the rail infront of it. I like the idea of running my current optic as I do shoot competitions with it but also would like to take a crack at a few coyote. Ive looked at ATN and Pulsar but just nervous on the electronics side of it.

Stay away from ATN.
Pulsar has some pretty decent stuff.
You’ll really want some form of a thermal for coyote hunting. Detecting couotes with an NVD is more difficult as you are using your eyes to detect movement , with a thermal they just standout.

True. Be sure you get enough resolution to PID the target as a yote vs the neighbors dog though.
