I think I started listening to him the second week he went national. Tremendous loss for the country and the conservative cause. Hard to put into words what I feeling. You knew this day was coming but... I'm glad he is no longer suffering. God bless you Rush.

Ironic the hate is coming from the same people that are whining and bitching about unity. Then again these are the same ones that have been calling us nazis, racists, and all that other bull shit.

He will be missed, and he left some monstrous shoes to be filled.

At least he will be spared the coming outrages as our new Administration and Congress implement a force fed Socialist program.

You are greatly missed, Rush.

Greg

That's not a blessing, that's the tragedy. Rush lived for the battle, and we shall miss his voice. RIP

Dangit I knew this day was getting closer as his gaps on the show were increasing. Glad he is not suffering any longer, but dang. Thanks Rush. Dennis Prager was my fill in when Rush was out and while I prefer Rush's brand Prager U does a lot of educating in the same spirit as El Rushbo. Dangit conservatism is staking some upper cuts right now argh.

He leaves a legacy of being the father of conservative talk radio. Had it not been for Rush there would be no Mark Stein, Hannity (ehh) , etc. likely no right leaning blogs, etc. Rush was the guy who used entertainment to give like minded people reassure that they were not alone and our opinions are relevant and in fact, the majority.

I have to smile when I think of the old “caller abortions” ;) wish he would have brought that back but Snerdly was great at keeping seminars callers off the radio.

My brother said maybe someone will step up and take his place. I don’t think so, but I also don’t believe it’s necessary. There will only one Rush, but there are dozen, maybe hundreds of on air talent Rush Babies and 20-25,000,000 daily listeners of such talent.

I'm not sure who can replace him. He brought humor, humility and explained the details away without being boring. The left continues to attack him personally, but he mainly attacked the left's ideas. Love of country and faith in god was undeniable.

What a kick in the nuts this morning.

My father and I never really got along since we were both strong willed and stubborn people but I remember fondly the times my old man would have Rush on the radio in the garage and we would hang out and listen. Our only real bonding moments to be honest. Never occurred to me that those days would be remembered as some of the last times he and I got along and talking about Rush and the show those days made that happen for us. So for that, I’ll be ever thankful to you Mr Limbaugh. You will truly be missed by millions.

Talent on loan no more, like others have said it has been repaid in full. God gained a great person today in Heaven, and I would bet Rush is telling God what to think of certain matters. Prayers for Catherine, EIB staff, any and all who knew him or just listened to Rush while they were at work.
Got a call from a friend this morning about his passing, I missed Catherine at the beginning of the show and only hear America The Beautiful playing, which really concerned me. Then I heard. I dont know why but last night I wore my Rush is Right tee shirt and then again this morning. With a heavy heart I sang that song all day to myself. Rest in Peace Rush Limbaugh Glad you are made whole again, you can hear, and no more pain. God Bless Him and America.
