Brains trust,

I have recently picked up a S&B 12-50x56PMII with a P4F reticle and expecting it to have the same subtensions as
my 5-25x56PMII it appears to be significantly finer at the same power settings. Both are FFP

Now I am happy that is finer, however, I would like to know what the cross hair thickness and subtensions are.

As usual the S&B website is not helping, does anyone here have the correct subtensions info?

Regards,

SH

Maybe your 5-25 is a P4 and not P4 Fein? Here are the subtensions for both. Thickness of the main lines are .07 mil vs. .035 mil respectively.

Howdy Lifebreath,

That was my first thought and did double check my 5-25 PMII packaging, took it to the range and checked!

Another interesting thing, all of the FFP 12-50PMII reticles that I have eyeballed here in Oz have the "hollow" thick part to the reticle at the 9, 12
and 3 o'clock positions unlike those depicted in the above images too?

My 12-50 cross hair would appear to subbtend to about .25cm or less - as I said not complaining and would just like to know.

The local agent is also a bit perplexed and hasn't heard back from S&B after a few weeks.
