am looking for some advice I have the Tikka tac A3 S&B 5x25x56 , I have just put my first rounds through it but I have a small problem. I spuhr mounts with 20 mod as you suggested. After spending time at the range trying to zero the gun in but when the crosshairs are on the bull the shot is high and I don’t have any more travel on the. Elevation turret so my question is will I need to shim the back by a 0002 of an inch or will it mean buying new flat mounts , any other advice I would be grateful

Most likely the zero stop is locking you out of the full adjustment.

On my DT turrets I loosen the set screws in the turret, give the turret a twist then tighten the screws, proceed with zero.

Thanks for the advise so if I loosen the screws I will get the zero to move up
No---not exactly. Loosen the screws to decouple the zero stop from the turret--then turn the turret, to get another bite of the apple so to speak. Then when you tighten the screws you will have more adjustment

Once you have the scope zeroed at 100 yards, loosen the screws again and set the turret to zero. Tighten the screws again. Now when you dial for longer shots you just have to know how far from zero you want to go--------and when you dial back it will hit a stop at your zero.

Others have explained it better with fewer words.
