I have not adjusted my zero stop in some time and have forgotten which one holds the turret on and which ones are for the zero stop. Mine came from the factory with the wrong set screw plugged with goo and Jerry helped me square that away, but now I don't have the good in the set screw to serve as an index to not mess with that particular screw. The manual says loosen the screws at 9 & 3 1/2 turn. The pic in the manual shows 2 screws 90 degs from each other being used.

If I am looking from the eye piece of the scope forward and have a set screw to the left, one center (looking right at it) and one on the right, which one stays as is and which ones do I loosen to reset the zero stop?

Thanks in advance

There should be two allen head screws and a standard slotted. I loosened the two allen head screws a half turn and rotated to zero.

This is a 5-25 pmII MTC LT RAL 8000 and the allens are 90° apart.

Edit: I checked again and one is slotted and two are allens. I was informed not to loosen the slotted.

If it's like mine, one of those three screws looks like a Allen head but it's just a captive screw that cannot be adjusted. My S&B is a MTC but it's a RAL 8000 tan model.

My PMII 3-20 has three Allen head screws while the 5-25 has two Allen head and one slotted. The directions in the manual are poorly written and not correct. I believe it says loosen the two Allen heads screws with the markings "Locked" between them. My turrets say "locked" between all of the screws. Finally got frustrated enough about trying to get past the ZS that I loosened the three set screws an pulled the turret cap to see how the mechanics worked. Once I figured it out reinstalled the turret and set zero. The instructions say not to remove the cap but left me little choice. Both scopes perform flawlessly and track accurately. If I ever have to send them in for warranty it may become an issue but will deal with it then.

They need to provide clear instructions on how to adjust the elevation lower past the zero stop which is generally the case when using 20 MOA or greater rails. It is a simple procedure once you figure it out.
