Rifle Scopes S&B PMII turret click feedback

I have two S&B PMII 5-25 scopes. One is new and the other has been lightly used. I noticed that there is a definite difference in the feedback of the clicks while turning the turrets. On the softer S&B, only the windage turrets feel close. Both are not MTC but have the double turn indicator on the elevation.

Is there a way to alter the click feedback of the turrets? Just curious as this discrepancy does not affect the scope functions though I haven't mounted the new one to confirm.

Yes they do in NH. They build and service scopes there.

OP, I would not alter anything yourself. Contact the Service Center above.

I would also send mine in rather than take the chance. </div></div>

That only affects the MTC function, it has nothing to do with the regular clicks.

Re: S&B PMII turret click feedback

Rob gave good advice on not fixing it yourself. I would say to check the tracking. It could be that there is only a slight difference in the firmness of the clicks and just a difference between two seperate scopes.

A slight difference I can accept but it is more like stiff vs smooth. Both click in a similar manner but the effort required to turn the turrets are not even close. Still doesn't effect functionality so it is not a huge concern though I do intend to resolve it by sending it in for repairs to S&B next year.

Also, since it may be under warranty, it doesn't make sense to mess with it. Gonna call them later today if time allows.

Re: S&B PMII turret click feedback

I am sure it is covered by warranty. Have you considered that the other scope is not an MTC. The MTC turrets have a very distinct click and the standard turrets have very little click. I have two MTC's and just traded a 4x16 that was non MTC. It sounds like one is non MTC.

Re: S&B PMII turret click feedback

Just spoke with Mark @ S&B on my issue. Nice CS and seemed very knowledgeable, as expected. I will be sending it in for repairs after this hunting season to resolve the issue.

BTW, quick plug, selling my good one to fund a S&B PMII MSR.

Re: S&B PMII turret click feedback

Good to hear about the customer service. I would be interested to hear what they find out when you send it in. Correct, both of the 5-25's are mtc, the 4x16x50 was not. You are correct on not having the yellow on them. The top of the turret raises up.
