Don't they also make TT optics? I don't see the problem. Everyone has a daylight bright 1-8/10 LPVO. It's the standard.
TT lol - You in the market for $5K LPVO? 99% of the market isn’t. 3/4 of those are Japanese OEM scopes like this SAI. no idea where Leupold makes theirs though. The NX8 kinda sucks, the ATACR is heavy with shit FOV, the PA 1-8 I had wouldn’t focus properly to my eye, and Loopy we don’t talk about here.Don't they also make TT optics? I don't see the problem. Eotech
Nightforce
Leupold
even Primary Arms
SAI says it's their design and made in Canada, but whatever. As to $5K....lmao! No. It would add a few hundo, max. Just like all the others.TT lol - You in the market for $5K LPVO? 99% of the market isn’t. 3/4 of those are Japanese OEM scopes like this SAI. no idea where Leupold makes theirs though. I talked to them a couple of days ago and it looks like they are finally done with a few last moment hurdles they ran into. The scope should be ready shortly.has there been any update on pricing?
Can you shed light on origins? I presume components from Japan and not the Philippines or China?I talked to them a couple of days ago and it looks like they are finally done with a few last moment hurdles they ran into. The scope should be ready shortly.
I did not ask about final pricing, but I will.

If they do not disclose it, I should not either. The components come from a few different places though, and are all put together and aligned in Canada. That's how they are able to say that it is made in Canada. Assembly quality is a big deal, so I am pretty happy that they brought it in house. Can you shed light on origins? Well, thats what I care about. I have a strict no China policy for items that count. If they do not disclose it, I should not either. To the best of my knowledge, nothing comes from PRC, although I do not know where the adhesives and the raw glass comes from. Lens cutting, shaping, polishing, coating, etc is not done in PRC, neither is the reticle. Interestingly, in a conversation I had with them, it came out that the tolerances they put on the reticle manufacturing were so tight that they had go to a completely different manufacturer for the reticle because all the people they normally do business with could not deliver.

I have not done a full review. If memory serves me right, it is the same exact scope as Eotech 1-10x28 except with different reticle and turrets. I can't remember offhand if Trijicon's elevation turret is locking or not though.ILya, Have you done a review on the Trijicon Credo 1-10 x28 mm Mil scope? Thank you.
There are ways to mitigate that, within reason. We will not know until the scope ships.More and more looking at the specs...
@9" end to end
24mm objective
1-10 zoom ratio
Fixed parallax
How is this not going to have a horrible eyebox and trash IQ beyond 2-300 yards above 6x?
Of all the people who have used it, you and CDoes are the only two that have much good to say. I am curious how Sai does with theirs. There are ways to mitigate that, within reason. We will not know until the scope ships.
AMG 1-10x24 is shorter and very good.

That’s a little disturbing, but I’ll just have to live with it.Of all the people who have used it, you and CDoes are the only two that have much good to say. I am curious how Sai does with theirs.
Let me rephrase: of all the people I know, and know of, who have spoken to its optical qualities, who have used it. Probably only half a dozen or so, so far from literally everyone obviously. I am not including competitors or people trying to sell theirs, in that, either, lol! That’s a little disturbing, but I’ll just have to live with it.

You misunderstood. I am aghast that there is something I agree on with C-Does.Let me rephrase: of all the people I know, and know of, who have spoken to its optical qualities, who have used it. I remain curious to try it, personally. I find that when it comes to optics, no two eyes are alike. In my opinion this boils down to fixed parallax vs diopter settings and where the parallax is fixed and how the diopter shift occurs through mag range. Correctly adjusted for the end user, the same scope can be trash or amazing, depending on the users diopter. For example, the 1-6vcog was unusable for me, the 1-8 atacr had 1.1x on the low end, and the nx8 1-8 is amazing (for its physical limitations). You misunderstood. I am aghast that there is something I agree on with C-Does.
I have talked to a few people who were not happy with AMG. That left me very disappointed in humanity.
