I could take a wisit to their shop. It's only a couple of km's from my house to their shop.
I have SAK supressos for 22lr and im very happy whit it.

Mudbug, the tripod application is definitely a special situation and I'm sure I won't find myself shooting from it often if at all. Probably more for snipers that are forced to shoot from inside a room at an odd elevation or odd angle. The reason I got it is because it's compatible with the bipod mount I also got from SAK and I figured...what the heck. It's nice to have options.
KingKong, how hard is it for a yank to emigrate to Finland? (the way this place is going I'm starting to look around)
Mudbug, the tripod application is definitely a special situation and I'm sure I won't find myself shooting from it often if at all. Probably more for snipers that are forced to shoot from inside a room at an odd elevation or odd angle. i think it would be pretty easy but its not worth it. We have so many antigun pp here. This place is already qoing to hell...

I understand that there are benefits to it, but there are several varieties of fixed tripod mounts I see posted on this forum, but I have yet to see a video of someone shooting from one. I imagine that the hole thing bucks and recoils in a very ackward way, but I don't know. That's why I keep hoping someone will post a video of one in use.

I have T&Eed several different fixed tripod set ups over the years and have yet to find one that was effective. The problem I have is they do transfer recoil in wierd directions depending on the leg orientation and up or down angle. First round hits were not hard but with a shift in the entire platform when energy must go somewhere when tied to something perpendicular to the linear direction of the rifles natural recoil. I found myself fighting to get everything shifted back on target for follow up shots. I have found that using a cradle and tripod similar to what I used in the Marine Corps has served me well in a wide variety of situations while in the Corps and now in LE. I too would be interested in some video of multiple rounds off a fixed tripod mounted rifle.

That's exactly how I picture it.
The whole thing bucks in a strange way, and now you have a whole tripod hanging off a rifle in a strange position that you have to fight back into position for a follow up shot.
This is why I keep hoping for a video, so I know how it works instead of just guessing.

That's exactly how I picture it.
The whole thing bucks in a strange way, and now you have a whole tripod hanging off a rifle in a strange position that you have to fight back into position for a follow up shot.
This is why I keep hoping for a video, so I know how it works instead of just guessing.
