Maybe some one here can help me as everything is closed this afternoon.
Can: Silencer Co Saker 762 - Trifecta Brakes w/ MAAD mount
Issue: Can won't lock up on the Trifecta Brakes, just spins and spins (I suspect the MAAD mount is bad)
-History-
Can was brand new, fresh out of the box. Would not lock up on host weapon. Call CS. SC CS recommends uncoupling MAAD mount (MM) from suppressor and re installing, informs me that the locking mechanism can not function if the MM is not snugged down far enough. I do this, can locks up. Problem solved, order 2 more brakes.
During sighting in, realize that can is loose after a few shots, just spins and spins. Remove can, snug down MM further, place timing marks on can and MM to see if I can verify it is loosening under use. Success, or so I thought. After a few more shots, same issue. Timing marks have not discernibly moved.
While the Locking detent is visibly in the locked position, it will not snug.
Test can on 2 other rifles thinking it could be the brake, it is not the brake. Same issue on all 3 brakes/rifles.
Upon close visual inspection I see that the MM is visibly warped. There is a a difference in diameter that can be both felt and visually confirmed. Either the MM or the Suppressor body is out of spec in some fashion (elliptical or just wonky).
Has anyone else had this problem?
Can anyone else running the same setup confirm that there suppressor/MAAD are the same diameter or are not, but still function properly?
Very frustrated presently, the pre-requisite google fu revealed the Trifecta system being abandoned....is this the reason? Huge coyote hunt coming up in 2 weeks and this is my only can (I know, 1 is none....my TBAC is still in jail for the foreseeable future).
All info, tips, tricks or suggestions appreciated.
TIA,
Alamo
