Sako Finnfire Hunter vs Varmint

I'm looking to get ahold of a Finnfire to prevent my c**k from falling off. the Finn addiction is getting pretty bad.

Does anyone know how the performance of the Hunter barrel does compared to the Varmint barrel? If the performance is similar, the hunter might be the smart way to go an rebarrel down the road. But Im curious to hear if the Varmint consistently outperforms the pencil barrel.

Any leads on Varmint model Finnfires for sale? It's about to fall off, it really is, quickly!

generally the heavier barrel will out perform the sporter barrel.

controls harmonics / whip much better, add weight for a more solid platform.

this is on a mkii, but the principle is the same

Just put a Lilja barrel on it and it will shoot like a laser.

Do the internet research here and benchrest central and rimfirecentral you'll see contrary to theory the lighter barrel shoots better most of the time. The FinnFire Varmint I had would do no better than 5/8"@50yd. My opinion is when Lilja makes a pre made barrel for a $800+ rifle, there must be a good reason.

My varmint is the most accurate rimfire I own. Guess it just depends.
