Sako M995 conversion 270 to 6.5x55 AI

I found a good deal on a used Sako M995 in a 270. Haven't bought the rifle yet, but I was thinking about converting it to a 6.5x55 AI. Bolt face is a .473 and the Suede is a .480... the quick research I've done says that should not be a problem. However, I'm concerned that Sako style extractor will make brass difficult as it will require me to turn down the rims. This is my first custom build so I'm not sure on some of the caveats about this project.

Anyone have any insight on this?

You shouldn’t have to turn down rims either.
