Same old massage, friendly reminder.

I started a thread a year and a bit ago, called "I'm Smarter Now"..... and for anyone who checked into that, and/or followed it, ya'll can grasp the point. And it's STILL going on, on a daily basis. Wherein the focal point of each and every day, is 'that'. Shit got bad, then it got worse.

So yeah, 2ndamendfan, believe me when I tell you "I get what you're saying" and on top of that, I still PRAY for others. I do so, because I truly know that there are OTHERS who have it worse than I/we do. So 'they' are the ones who need more help.

Strong back, and stiff upper-lip, man!

I want to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and hugs.

I will say it would appear a tragedy was avoided by fractions of an inch. Will know more later this week. But death and paralysis was avoided.

One note that may or may not help others is this. We got rid of our home phone a while back. We sleep with our cell phones on our night stands not 20" from out heads.

For obvious reasons we put our phones on vibrate at night. I missed the first phone call. Barely noticed 2nd call 10 min later. (Another family memeber).

Android (5.0 or greater I believe) has settings to allow certain phone numbers to ring even when phone is muted. There are also apps it looks like to do this. I would assume Apple is similar.

I had wondered about this in the past but until yesterday never looked into it. My phone is now set up to allow about 10 emergency numbers through. People who wont call at 2am unless it is emergency.

Just a friendly PSA.

2a, best wishes for 'ya and I hope it all works out for the best. Judging by the names here, I don't think any of us are shy of tragedy and bad news... You couldn't find a better group of brothers to have your back than here though.

Wishing for nothing but the best for you and yours. I'm laid up due to surgery but if you need a hand I'll do what I can!
