Planning on getting my first rifle can here from rany at mile high first of the week. I was originally going with the titanium can to save on weight, and i was told it is more durable. I believe both cans sound the same either way, there is no decible diference in them. But i was reading and saw that steel woould be better on an ar ?

I plan on this being mainly for my 308, but i hear they sound pretty good on sub calibers as well. I wanted to put it on a 223 bolt gun, and maybe even an AR just for shits and giggles. Will the Ti can hold up to the ar as long as im not gonna shoot rapid/long strings of shots?

Also, any 308 and or 223 sub loads if you have them ? ill check the reloading as well. And if the 223 does work out on the bolt gun, is there a load that i can use for varmints or i see alot of the time in the 308 they use round nose and not a match type bullet ?

Sorry for all the questions, i have no idea where to start

Re: SAS - SS or Ti

Go with the Ti model. If you're not going full auto it'll be just fine. The SAS Arbitors are nice cans.

It'll sound great on the 223 as well. Trail boss is the powder to use for ss 308's. I'm sure you'll find some data in the loading section.

No sir not a DB difference but tone is slightly different but many can not even tell that unless you shoot them side by side and pay close attention. Simply put a TAB Gear SAS2 or 3 on it and you will not be able to tell. The sub load are available in the reloading section for the .308 but I don't recommend the .223 sub's due to no real reason and more expensive than a .22LR sub with minimal difference between them. We also have South West .308 Sub-Sonic ammo as well in stock and recommend it for beginning fun. But definitely recommend the TI over SS due to weight and price point its the way to go honestly.

Re: SAS - SS or Ti

Can't beat the price on the TI SAS, no reason not to go that direction unless you want to do mag dumps with it on. My Ti SAS is twice as large but significantly lighter than my 5.56 can, an AAC M4-2000. I haven't shot it on an AR yet, I might have to try that over the weekend.
