Anyone able to comment and/or compare service life and noise reduction of the SAS Ti Arbitor and the SRT Ti Shadow XL. Both when shot with 30 cal from a bolt gun.
I have heard the SRT and I was suprised at how quiet it was. It did not seem to have a lot of 1st round crack either. This shooting was all done outside and not under any roof or off a concrete pad.
I have damaged hearing and I always wear double hearing protection to help, foam plugs and earmuffs. I did not have to wear ear protection when the SRT was fired; I was about 4 feet away and to the right.
At my range we have a tin roof covering the firing line and concrete the whole lengh of the line. I understand that this will most likely increase sound. So my frame of reference may not be the good. It seems that the guys that are shooting suppressed at the range have loud suppressors, I do still have to wear some hearing protection.
I have not heard an SAS Ti Arbitor
