Well, not really. But they were looking for Sasquatch and probably died of exposure for being terminally fucking stupid!

So in a way… Sasquatch killed them.

Stupid is going out in big Washington woods in December without being prepared. It’s even stupider when you are trying to find a mythical ape man.
