This is my factory Savage 110 Tactical 30.06. It was the only factory bull barreled 30.06 I'd ever seen so I had to buy it. I've put a Rifle Basix trigger in it, added a Leupold VX-III 6.5x20x50mm, and bedded the action in a Boyd's VT stock. Unbelievable accuracy from basically a stock factory rifle.

I love hearing these things about a savage that is basically stock. Nice looking rifle.

Very nice, how do you like the Boyd's Stock? I have this stock on my Mauser 308 M48, the only thing I did not like was the grip it would not allow me to place my entire pad of my index finger on the trigger due to the thinness of the grip. I have since fixed this, I took a piece of Mahogany wood and molded to the stock grip and put finger grooves on it. I bonded it using bedding compound....

Here are a couple of pics....

Re: Savage 110 Tactical 30.06

Thanks guys.
So far I really like the stock. It fits me good and is comfortable. The only thing I don't like is the thumbhole portion of the stock when in the tactical carry position. Not comfortable and not easy to disengage the safety. It's definitely not for stalking situations.
