Savage 338 lapua build

Hey guys got a quick question for you. I have a savage large shank long action Im going to build up. I found a good deal on a takeoff 338 lapua barrel I want to put on.

My question is can I use the ptg lapua bolt head with my action. The ptg site says its a .550 lug and the mag bolthead on mine is a .500 lug. Do I need an action made for this or will mine work?
