Re: savage arms stevens 200 short

yeah man, we will help you out, but there are a few threads that cover this going at this very moment. go back 10-20 pages in the bolt action forum or search using savage

Re: savage arms stevens 200 short

Go on over to savageshooters.com. There is a sponsor over there called northlander. He has mcgowen and cbi barrels for $250 and $259. I have a bull barrel mcgowen in 223 and it holds itty bitty little groups. God to sharp shooter supply for the trigger. As far as stock and glass those are personal preference/how big your wallet is.

Re: savage arms stevens 200 short

Stocks: Stockade, HS precision, Mcmillan...etc....etc...
What do you want to spend, and how long can you wait is the real question.

Trigger: Rifle Basix or SSS

Barrel: Tons of choices in prefit. I like McGowen and Lothar Walther, but many, many more choices are available. Make sure you get a better recoil lug, either SSS or Stockade.

Go get a membership on Savageshooters.com for $12 a year to access the members classifieds. It will probably pay for itself on the first purchase from a member. There are a lot of the above mentioned stuff for sale over there regularly, and usually really good deals.

Re: savage arms stevens 200 short

SSS triggers are available from Midway and Brownells i believe. kreiger also started making Savage prefit barrels. also that $12 fee for the classified over at savage shooters . com is a worthwhile investment. i would look here too, there have been several savage stocks for sale recently too
