Gunsmithing Savage Bolt Head

I'm still in question mode about my Savage Model 12, 22-250 to 6mm Remington conversion.

Will I need to replace the bolt face and ejector?

Nope, It will all work. Just change the barrel. You may have feeding issues out of the box mag, but more than than likely it will work too.

Great thanks for the help!! What will cause the feeding issues? Is there anything to do to mitigate that?

Skillful polishing and fabricating, but I doubt there will be any problems for you to have to do a great deal to.

I was thinking the long neck on the 6mm may cause a minor hickup.
