I just trade for a savage model 10 with a choate ultimate sniper stock. Goodie goodie right? Wrong, some a hole drilled about 50 dimples in an irregular pattern all over the outside of the action!!! WQHY OH WHY would they do that!!!!????? Then they smeared a bunch of jb weld all over it to boot. Any help with this would be great. I already used the dremel and wire wheel to get to the steel to check for cracks so far no problem there. Anyone know of a place to get a new or lightly used model 10 action for .308 ?

try a local gun shop you can buy savage actions from jerry's sports center but you have to be a dealer to get them. and plus you can change it up a little and get a right bolt left port or something else if you wanted

Jim @ Northland is your best bet, he sells savage and stevens actions in all configurations. Or buy a used donor rifle. Did you trade online or how did you not notice this before trading?
