Re: Savage question???
+2 on Jim, best resource for Savage fitted barrels, recoil lugs and factory parts (action). If you're looking for a new barrel, ask Jim about the CBI barrels.
SSS has good after market parts like triggers and bolt handles, but Jim is so much easier to deal with.

He has alot of barrels in stock that can probably suit your needs or maybe even a take off barrel that is still in very good shape. He knows what he's doing. Make sure to get yourself a new barrel nut and recoil lug when you do the barrel. DON'T REUSE YOUR OLD RECOIL LUG NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO! Most of the factory lugs are warped and do not make for a good reassembly. It will cost you another $30 or so to replace and well worth the money. The barrel nut is not as important, but I replace em both for the minimal cost. If Jim has a barrel, see if he can cut it down..I'm not sure if he can, but I'm pretty sure he can. Goodluck</div></div>
