Rifle Scopes Schmidt and Bender .25 mil adjustments

I recently purchased a Schmidt and Bender 12-50 for one of my rifles that I want to utilize for longer distances. I have traditionally shot 20-22 magnification and .1 mil or .25 MOA or .125 MOA adjustments.

This scope says 0,25 cm adjustments. The S&B item number is 878-911-972-A6-62.

Assuming .1 mil is a rougher/larger adjustment than 1/4 MOA, then .25 mil would be a huge adjustment.

Is the adjustment .025 mil?

I don't want to zero at 100/200 and be way off target at 600/1000 and beyond.

Please give me any info as I wanted to zero and fire it at distance in the FTR match at my local range this weekend.

Think about the difference in inches and see what you actually have.
1 cm is .3937"
.1 mil is .3438"
There are 2.54 cm in 1".


.25 cm adjustments are much finer that .1 mil adjustments, as .25 cm would be .0984" per click at 100 yards.

Well, at least I think my math is correct.

That's what I thought. I assumed they would be really fine adjustments, but sport optics page says .25 mil instead of 0,25cm.

Just don't want to send anything over the berm.

I would go with what is marked on the turret.
You should actually have a slight advantage there over target scopes with 1/8 clicks as you will be able to fine tune a little bit better.

Germans use commas like we use the dot for decimal point.
1 cm means 1 cm per 100 meters which is what a tenth of a mil is.
.25cm is 1/4th of 1 cm per 100 meters.

So it's a target scope, with fine adjustments four times as fine as one tenth mils.

So a centimeter rifle is a pretty accurate rifle huh? A cm group in 100 meters is about like 1/4" group in 100 yards (roundball).

Those adjustments are 0.25cm/100m, and 0.1 mil equals 1cm/100m, so the adjustment is indeed 0.025 mil, which is pretty much the finest adjustment you will find anywhere, even finer than 1/8 moa. You are "fine" in every sense of the word if your concern is target shooting.

Thanks for easing my mind. I saw .25 mil on the sport optics website and freaked. I guess it's a mistake on their site.
